PGL Antwerp

PGL Antwerp 2022 marked the return of the Counter-Strike Major to Belgium and introduced a new milestone for PGL: for the first time, the event opened with a fully produced Opening Ceremony film. Inspired by the theme "History Will Remember," the ceremony celebrated the defining moments, legendary players, and enduring legacy of Counter-Strike esports.

Created entirely in 3D, the film reimagines iconic plays through a minimalist white-and-gold visual language inspired by the event's identity. Blending cinematic storytelling with symbolic environments, the opening ceremony pays tribute to the moments that shaped Counter-Strike history while setting the stage for a new chapter of competition.
